Alternative Cancer Treatment That Kills Only The Cancer Cells

For many years, scientist have recognized that cancer cells are more sensitive to heat than normal cells, and that at high temperatures cancer cells break down. This helps explain why, after the Renaissance, there were reports of spontaneous tumor regressions in patients with smallpox, influenza, tuberculosis, and malaria, where the common factor was an infectious fever of about 104°F – 40°C. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, there were scattered reports of similar successes.

For years, though the principles of tumor heating were widely understood, the technology to direct the heat in a concentrated area lagged behind the theory. In modern day hyperthermia, controlling heating placement is done using fine sensors and directional applicators that are now standard in hyperthermic medical treatment worldwide. Using microwaves and computers with these devices, cancerous tumors is heated at about 104°F – 40°C, breaking down the tumor without harming the surrounding tissues.

In normal tissues, blood vessels open up, when heat is applied, dissipating the heat and cooling down the cell environment. Unlike healthy cells, a tumor is a tightly packed group of cells, and circulation is restricted and sluggish. With heat applied to the tumor, vital nutrients and oxygen are cut off from the tumor cells. This results in a collapse of the tumors vascular system and destruction of the cells.

Hyperthermia in conjunction with low-dose IMRT is purpose intended to cure when tumors is localized. This approach has a curative intent, as opposed to palliative treatment used in conventional therapies like radiation alone, high toxic chemotherapy, and the ‘point of no return,’ surgery, whose purpose is only to prolong patients’ lives. The high temperatures can destroy the malignant tumor without harming the surrounding healthy tissue. There is also evidence that hyperthermia increases the patients’ immune system, allowing the patients’ own system to fight the cancer as well as the side effects of other treatments. Hyperthermia also increases the effectiveness of radiation and/or chemotherapy.

Hyperthermia greatly improves results of other cancer treatments
Hyperthermia combined with radiation therapy or chemotherapy, there is a dramatic improvement in response rates.

A recent study comparing results from leading hyperthermia researchers showed that beneficial responses were obtained by only 33% of patients treated with radiation alone, compared to 67% when radiation therapy was combined with hyperthermia. There is a twofold to threefold increase in the favorable response rate.

The most effective treatable sites Hyperthermia is known for are: brain, breast, base of tongue, neck, ovaries, prostate, throat and other anatomical sites.
The types of tumors hyperthermia is known for treating are: adenocarcinoma, carcinoma, thymoma, squamous cell, mesothelioma, sarcoma, melanoma, lymphoma, basal cell among others.

Since its inception in 1984, Valley Cancer Institute (VCI), located five miles from Los Angeles International Airport, in Culver City, California and newly expanded second facility Bicher Cancer Institute (BCI), located in Beverly Hills, California, encompasses two (2) 6,000 sq. ft. facilities. Both includes the most advanced hyperthermic technology: two linear accelerators with pinpointed radiation therapy, IMRT, research laboratories, seven Hyperthermia treatment rooms, and full radiation and medical oncology departments, capable of treating up to 60 patients a day.

BCI’s medical expertise is base on 25 years of clinical experience and research in the development of alternative cancer treatments. Most of the Institute’s oncology staff, including doctors, nurses, hyperthermia and radiology technicians, and engineers, have been with BCI from the first years of its establishment and possesses decades of expertise in the field of cancer treatment with curative intent.

James Bicher, MD, Founder and director of Bicher %26 Valley Cancer Institute, is considered a pioneer in the hyperthermic field. He has worked for decades to provide a cohesive body of clinical research and testing, that hyperthermia be given legal status as an approved medical procedure, in 1984. Although, Hyperthermia does come from Germany, clinics in Germany do whole body Hyperthermia, which is not approving in the U.S. At our institute we do local Hyperthermia combined with low-dose radiation, implemented, and developed by Dr. Bicher in the 70′s and 80′s. We go even further by adding the targeted radiation in the form of IMRT ‘Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy,’ an advanced cancer treatment therapy not done anywhere else!

Recent cancer diagnosis, time left?

My aunt found out she has adenocarcinoma of the lung a couple weeks ago. She had a PET scan done the end of last week to see if the cancer was anywhere else in her body, and her results came back yesterday that it is also in her liver and throughout many bones in her body. She has not seen her oncologist yet. Is there a medical professional who is fluent enough with how cancer works in the body, that would be able to give an estimated amount of time that she has left to live? She was already told it is terminal and that she’d have less than a year, but that was before the PET scan came back even worse.

Also, does anyone know if the Cancer Treatment Centers of America are as good as they advertise? Or of an excellent facility that specializes in the treatment of cancer? Is there any hope for her? Her lung tumor is inoperable, but she is only in her mid-fifties and it too young to die.

Answer
It would completely impossible for anyone here to guess her time left on this earth, without knowing many details of her illness and her doctor’s treatment plan.
Only her oncologist will be able to answer this important question and even then, most doctors hesitate to give patients an exact amount of time.
The Cancer Treatment Centers of America give me, and other nurses and doctors, a bit of a pain. Their television commercials create a lot of false hope in people, citing only their most amazing cases. They are also extremely expensive and take very few insurance plans. Their reputation is not good in the medical world.
Have her write down every question that she has for when she sees her doctor and peace to your family at this tough time.
