Diagnosis of Leukemia
Any diagnosis relies on a good medical history (the story of how the illness developed), a physical examination and special tests guided by the history and examination. Blood tests are important in the diagnosis of leukemia. A sample of blood is examined under a microscope to see what the cells look like and to determine the number of mature cells and blasts…

Doctor opinion wanted, is marijuana safe to smoke in the treatment of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma?
I am currently going through chemotherapy to treat Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I know that cigarette smoking is out of question due to my lungs being weak, but what about marijuana? It’s used as a treatment for chemotherapy, but is it safe in my case? And yes I know it’s illegal I just want an opinion with a health perspective. Thanks.
If it is harmful, are there any other means of ingestion anyone can recommend?
For the record, I am 18 years old. Idk what my profile says, I made it when I was 13.
Answer
Marijuana is not used to treat cancer. Provide a source and prove me wrong.
But some people use it to treat the symptoms of the disease and the side effects from the chemo.
One of the side effect of chemo drugs is that it can wipe out your white blood cells (WBC), these are part of the immune system. When your WBCs are low your body has a very difficult time fighting off infection. One of the precautions we take with somebody with a low WBC count is that they can not eat any fresh fruits or vegetable and they should not be allowed around plants, dirt is a great place for a potentially dangerous organism to live.
Marijuana has the potential to cause an infection. It is grown out of the ground of course but what make it dangerous is that because it is illegal and unregulated. You really don’t know if the marijuana is clean or not. If not you could be setting yourself up for an infection.
