This is unbelievable. Lung cancer victim cannot collect his $1m winnings to pay for treatment?
I’ve heard it all now. I’m outraged. NY state will not allow this man to collect his $1m prize (as opposed to the usual 20 year pay-out) because of “rules”. He needs the money to get adequate cancer treatment and is getting the runaround. What do YOU think of this?

BTW – this is the link to the email page of the NY Lottery Commission. Just in case you want to let them know what you think…http://www.nylottery.org/ny/nyStore/cgi-bin/contact/contact.php
Answer
The lottery corporation is not being honest. They make the rules, they can turn around and break the rules. They do it all the time for the powerball payouts, which are supposed to be over 20 years as well, but most winners take the money as a lump sum payment.
Just another way for your government to screw you.
