I work in a restaurant that is definitely an old building (1910-1940?). it is a three story building with the restaurant being on the ground level and apartments being on the second and third levels. this weekend a fire broke out on the third floor while I was at work. The third story apartments burnt down – the firefighters also put holes in the walls and the roof. The second and first story sustained only water damage.
My question is, should I be worried about asbestos exposure while I'm at work? The ground level where I am does not share any vents with the top 2 stories and I heard from the tenant next door (whose roof was cut through by the firefighters during the fire) that they gave her the o.k. to go inside and get her things.
If it is possible to be exposed to asbestos this way, who do I call for help?
Thanks!
hi well please refer at below link for more information about your question "Possibility of Asbestos Exposure after a fire ?"
Well if they found asbestos, they would have to remove it, so I wouldn't really worry.
